Multi-dimensional viewing circulation
We organize the display of specimen artworks in the space, following the principles of art rather than decorative items, aiming to showcase their unique beauty and aesthetic value. We emphasize creating a distinctive exhibition environment that triggers imagination and sensory experiences for viewers.
In terms of spatial arrangement, we carefully select display methods to showcase the specimen artworks. By arranging them thoughtfully and reducing the display density, each specimen stands out individually, allowing sufficient space for viewers to appreciate them. This orderly and well-designed display approach not only highlights the aesthetic appeal of the specimens but also provides an enhanced visual experience for observers.
To create a sophisticated and unique viewing experience akin to an art gallery, we pay great attention to setting the atmosphere in the space. By choosing appropriate lighting and illumination design, we focus the spotlight on the specimen artworks, making them the focal points of the space.
In addition to display methods and atmosphere, we also prioritize enhancing the viewing experience. To immerse viewers in the world of specimen artworks, we have designed an aerial gallery within the space. This gallery connects the different display areas, allowing the viewer to appreciate the specimen works in different spatial vertical dimensions, but also to feel the flow and continuity of the space.
The natural sense of multiple expressions
In line with Christopher Marley's advocacy of natural ambiance, we employ various means to infuse the space with a natural touch. Apart from incorporating appropriate greenery, we utilize materials with natural textures, such as wood elements and stone, to create a more rustic and organic ambiance. These natural elements harmoniously resonate with the specimen artworks, resulting in a unified and cohesive overall impression.
Overall, our approach to showcasing specimen artworks in the space emphasizes artistic qualities, uniqueness, and an elevated viewing experience. Through meticulous display organization, well-balanced spatial arrangements, and the creation of a natural ambiance, we strive to allow viewers to experience the exquisite fusion of art and nature in this space.
The concrete structure of the original space was also properly preserved by us, and cleverly interacted with the modern metal air gallery, enriching the texture of the space.
We processed the overall color system of the space relatively simple and pure, in order to highlight the colorful visual properties of the specimen work itself.
Yakisugi are used as the main material for the entrance of the exhibition hall to present a pure and three-dimensional sense of nature, echoing the natural theme of the specimens.
